Runglee Rungliot is one of the oldest tea estates tracing its origin back to 1858. Legend has it, that a Buddhist monk was roaming the Himalayas in search of a perfect cup of tea, until one day, he reached a scenic spot in the Teesta valley of Darjeeling, Runglee Rungliot.
It is a heady mix of twisted black and green leaves interspersed with delicate silver tips that give a fresh, nutty aroma. When brewed, the cup is mild-gold-green, crisp, and clean. The taste is mild and mellow, with a smooth and sweet mouthfeel. Around the edges, clear notes of peony and freesia entice you amidst the sweetness of honeycomb. As you finish, undertones of toasted nuts and juicy tangerines linger.
