100% Pure Japanese Green Tea
Tasting Notes We joined hands with a traditional tea plantation, in the Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan, which was established in the year 1946 and cultivates the creme-de-la-creme of authentic Matcha Green Tea. High quality, shade-grown Tencha leaves are harvested, rolled, and stone-ground to make this premium culinary grade Matcha green tea, flushed with antioxidants and rich in essential minerals. With a rich and vibrant green color, the dry matcha powder is deeply aromatic and gives off an ambrosial aroma of fresh spring greens of the misty mountains. The full-bodied brew has a delectably mellow green tea taste, flushed with ample, fresh vegetal flavors. The vegetal flavors are laced with a hint of subtle sweetness that brings a delicious degree of smoothness to the tea which travels into the aftertaste as well. Satiate your senses with the delightful notes of fresh grass throughout the cup, bringing you a sense of unmatched freshness and a depth to the tea. Overall, an extremely well-rounded and an appetizing Matcha Green Tea with true umami roots.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is Matcha Green Tea?
'Matcha' is a fine powdered form of Japanese green tea which is produced using traditional Japanese methods. First introduced by the Zen Buddhist monks in Japan who would consume matcha to improve their focus and meditate for longer periods of time. Special, shade-grown 'Tencha' leaves are harvested and stone-ground to make a fine powdered form of green tea, which has a unique delectable flavor and a vibrant green color. Today, Matcha green tea is known to be the richest source of antioxidants and is regarded as a superfood around the world.
  • What is the difference between Green Tea and Matcha Tea?
It is a known fact that both 'Green Tea' and 'Matcha Green Tea' come from the same mother plant Camellia Sinensis, but they both differ significantly in taste, texture, color, and in the method of preparation. While normal green tea is harvested and made using any part of the tea bush, Matcha is made using only the finest tea leaves. While making matcha, the stems and veins are removed and the leaves are then stone-ground into a fine powder which has a vibrant green color, with a more concentrated dose of antioxidants. Studies have proven the fact that 1 cup of freshly brewed Matcha tea has the same amount of antioxidants as 10 cups of normal green tea does.
