Our Matcha has been sourced garden fresh from plantations in the Nishio region in Japan which is known to produce the finest grade of this extremely healthy super food. Like all teas, Matcha is plucked from the tea plant, however, its unique manufacturing process is what makes it supremely energizing and delicious. Matcha teas are grown under sun shade for 2 weeks, just before plucking, which causes the tea plants to produce high amounts of nutrient rich chlorophyll. The leaves are then stone milled into extremely fine powder. Unlike normal teas leaves which are strained out post brewing, Matcha completely dissolves in water, ensuring ingestion of all nutrients. A single cup of Matcha is known to contain 15x the health benefits of regular green tea & 70x the antioxidants found in a glass of fresh orange juice.
